About the Project (pictures & maps)
Artist Selection Process:
A RFP (Request for Proposals), will have two phases, Phase I and Phase 2.
The application closed on October 14, 2022
RFP – Phase 1 is an application to apply for the Healthy Community Mural Project. The application is open to all artists and/or artist teams living in the nine (9) Bay Area Counties.
RFP – Phase 2:
From Phase 1, up to three artists will be invited to submit a mural proposal. A proposal award of $2500 will be provided to each of the invited artists who follow RFP guidelines. One artist, or artists team, will be commissioned to complete the murals.
Public feedback will be collected when the selected artists present their mural proposals at Community Meeting #2. Upon advisory input by Cultural Collective of NFO and the North Fair Oaks Community Council, the Healthy Community Mural Project Committee will recommend one artist to the County of San Mateo for consideration. The County of San Mateo will review and approve the final selection.
